If you’d like to stay with other students and musicians this year, they’d be a great option for you.

Located in the heart of Nelson, the YHA is in walking distance to all the festival venues, classes, shops, cafes, Saturday Market etc. the hostel has large kitchens and dining spaces and a variety of rooms, both Private rooms (Single, Double, Twin, Triple) and Share/Dorm Rooms.   Slow sessions happen in the dining room and in the courtyard if its Sunny 😊

Private Rooms are available once Ceol Aneas Registration is Open, by email/phone  (not available online). Share/Dorm Rooms can be booked directly on our website for the best rates. Please indicate if you are a Ceol participant so they can allocate you to a room with your friends or other musicians

If you do try and book through most websites including the YHA New Zealand website you will see it shows no vacancy over the Ceol Aneas weekend. This is to ensure there are enough beds and rooms held for Ceol Aneas participants over the entire weekend.

On Saturday and Sunday afternoons we have the cafe to use for Singing Sessions

The Prince Albert Backpackers and the hostel provides today’s travellers with the very best in modern facilities and accommodation including free unlimited WiFi. They have a range of rooms from 6 bed dorms, 4 bed share rooms, twins, and doubles. All of our rooms have en-suite facilities along with laundered and pressed linens and duvets.
