About the Ceol Aneas Festival
Ceol Aneas (Ke-ol An-eass) is Aotearoa New Zealand's premiere traditional Irish music festival modelled on the traditional summer schools in Ireland. It attracts musicians and traditional Irish music lovers from around New Zealand and overseas.
Our Mission

Our Organisation
The organisation that runs Ceol Aneas each year is a New Zealand Incorporated Society which has charitable status. It’s called the “CELTIC FLUTE SCHOOL OF NEW ZEALAND INCORPORATED” which reflects its origins as a flute workshop. We operate under a set of formal rules.

Committee
Each year we elect a committee to run the organisation and create the annual workshop on the first weekend in June.
Committee member elections are held at the AGM, which is held each year on the Sunday of the festival.
To ensure some continuity, half of the committee members are elected annually for a two year term. The other half of the committee is elected the next year.
If you want to become a committee member you need either to nominate yourself or have another paid up member nominate you at least two weeks before the AGM so that members of the society know who is standing.
The call out for nominations closes on 11 May 2025
